The truth about pet food ingredients…

That shitty food your cheap ass buys your cat/dog at chain pet stores and the vet just might be making your cat/dog a cannibal.

“The city of Los Angeles sends 200 tons of euthanized cats and dogs to West Coast Rendering plant every month. This is just from the city’s animal shelters and does not include animals from private veterinarians.” — Jackie Alan Giuliano, Ph.D
Rendering is the process by which raw materials (dead animals and animal byproducts) are converted into a long list of ingredients for industrial and consumer goods.

[I was looking at a guitar amp today, the Evil Robot C30 and kind of wanting one… until I saw that “animal” glue was used in its construction.]

“Meat rendering plants process animal by-product materials for the production of tallow, grease, and high-protein meat and bone meal.  Plants that operate in conjunction with animal slaughterhouses or poultry processing plants are called integrated rendering plants.  Plants that collect their raw materials from a variety of offsite sources are called independent rendering plants.  Independent plants obtain animal by-product materials, including grease, blood, feathers, offal, and entire animal carcasses, from the following sources:  butcher shops, supermarkets, restaurants, fast-food chains, poultry processors, slaughterhouses, farms, ranches, feedlots, and animal shelters.”

[If you see byproduct or the term “meat” within the ingredients of your cat or dogs food, I can promise you that you are feeding them other cats and dogs.  It makes me sick and feel a strong desire to inflict damage to think I have fed my cat (who is like my son) other cats and/or dogs.]

To avoid choosing a dog food that might contain dead cats and dogs, there’s only one way to minimize the risk…

Never buy any product made with a generic animal ingredient

By generic, I’m referring to meat-based ingredients which do not specify the source animal. They use non-specific words like “meat” or “poultry” rather than the actual species like “chicken” or “beef”.

[How many veterinary illnesses have been caused by this disgusting business practice???  And to anyone that is “offended” by me tagging my post as a holocaust you need to get over your own self-importance.  Roughly 12,895,885 animals die per year due to animal testing (not including mice).  In the U.S. alone, roughly 1,000,000 animals are slaughtered every hour by factory slaughter houses (yeah, that’s right – roughly 87.5 BILLION animals are killed to feed your fat ass).  Using statistics from 2008, the U.S. alone euthanizes over 4,132,231.  So don’t even start…]

Here’s a taste of animal testing reality for you; hopefully you’re not a coward (I am biting my tongue here); the only way things can get better anywhere, regarding anything, is for cowards to stop ignoring things, like this

This is just a small taste of a WIDE RANGE of things labs do to cats, dogs, primates, and so many other animals.
